The 'Words' Issue Gracie tells you what the hell this 'Words' issue is all about, and announces a site contest! "Sticks & stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me."
That's what we sing-song back to the bullies on the playgrounds as children, but as we grow older, we suffer the wrath of the word.
As writers, we love words, respect their power, & agonizingly scrutinize over the succinct choice of which to employ to garner the effect we desire.
As lovers, we count word choice among our sexual arsenal. Exploiting words, along with tone, timing, volume & even location of such a whisper to elicit from our partners.
As lovers, we often become fighters, selecting which words will now cut to the quick ~ of the problem or fell our combatant.
Yes, words are powerful. Some more so than others. Especially when they become labels ~ either as self-identifiers, or the way others see us.
So in this issue, the Sex Kittens take a look at words...

The contest closes July 15, 2005 so that the book can be received in plenty of time for them to read & use it for holiday gift shopping! (Maybe your luck's finally taking a turn for the better, hmm?)
