Got a Purr?...Or at Least a Grrr? Gracie has something to say.
She loves women.
I am not bi or gay, but I love women. Let's face it, women are beautiful, so why not enjoy looking at them?
I visit strip clubs, topless bars etc. often. Why? Like I said, I think women are beautiful, sexy and I love to see them confident!
Recently, there was a 'news' article published on the 'new' popularity of women going to strip clubs. You can read the trash here, and quite frankly, you should because you'll want to be up to speed for the next bit... Go on, I'll wait...
Notice how they make the following points:
1. We do it cuz celebs do it (as if)
2. It is part of a 'sexual crisis (what the fuck?!)
3. We go to compare ourselves to them (like we are *so* insecure!)
4. "Attractive women like other attractive women. It doesn't mean they want to have sex with them - it just means that they like other girls taking their clothes off." (hey! They got one right!)
Now, before I get too caught up in disecting this, I want you to take a look at yet another link. (I've read it, so I will wait for you here!)
This article states:
1. We go because "They're curious to see what it is these girls have got that brings their husbands or boy friends in here." (umm we *know* that, duh!)
2. "Women have been educated to accept sex and nudity as part of everyday life. They no longer have ideas that date back to the petticoat era." (this is the only one they have right too!)
3. "They like to pull another girl apart, commenting about her lacks as far as physical attributes." (again with this 'catty' shit?!)
So there is not much difference in this article after all...
But, did you notice the date on this one? it is an essay from 1956! The first 'news' article was dated July, 2002! (So much for this being news!)
What kills me here, is that *both* these articles state women go to clubs to compare ourselves to these other women! I mean really (sigh) are we that insecure, that driven by the need to 'compete' for men that we go either to see how we don't measure up, or to make ourselves feel better than some girl that won't measure up to us?!
Poppy-Cock!
Could it just be that we like it because we like the female form? Could it just be that being in a place where it is ok to dance & jiggle is fun? Maybe we like the smell of sex in the air! Maybe we like to go with our partners & watch them get arroused! Can't folks accept the facts? Or do they need to be reassured (lied to) that women are not sexual beings...
I guess in 46 years nothing much has changed. But I sure hope all of you are smart enough to realize that this 'message' that's being spouted as news is neither news, nor correct.
