A few months ago, GK interviewed Julie Strain for her new print magazine, 'Feline Fatale'. This resulted in Julie also sending her a copy of her latest book!

I had heard of Julie, I mean I don't live under a rock! But I didn't know much about her...

So recently I took a look at the book, "Julie Strain's Greatest Hits", and became not only educated, but a huge fan.

For one thing, I learned that Ms Bettie Page herself thinks that Julie rocks. I quote here from her book: "It's Julie who keeps the flame of pin-up beauty alive today!"

Pretty strong words from The Queen herself!

However, one look at the book itself, and you can see why.

Most folks may know Julie from her work as Judge Julie on Playboy TV's Sex Court, & her work in numerous films ~ earning her the title "Queen of the B Movies." And sure, she has her other titles: Penthouse Pet of the Year, Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.2 plus her numerous other pictorals. But sometimes, we women 'write off' those pros, don't we?

Need reasons not to write off Ms Strain? Number one is her great personality (which you can read about in the upcoming article in 'Feline Fatale'), and number two, her glorious glamour photos!

Vintage Julie

The large over-sized book is filled with color pics, many of which are glamour shots, artist works, fantasy renderings, and even her bio. The book reads more like a personal scrapbook ~ showcasing the art and Julie's personality, wise-cracks and all!

As a collector of vintage nudes, who dabbles in some modern works, I can be a hard-sell on these new 'coffee table' style collections of modern photographic erotica ~ I admit it, I am a snob! But Julie's book has a prominent place in my collection.

Her ability to show more than her body parts, but to play parts (with a heavy emphasis on the 'play'), makes her a modern pin-up goddess, not just some 'nudie-girl.' For this, she has won a place in my collecting, and my heart...

Ok, back to the 'real review info'... The book is a hard cover, measuring 10.64 x 8.76 inches with 296 glossy pages ~ That means plenty of large, beautiful photos to look at!

She says there are 150 new photos in this book, which means if you are already a Julie Strain fan, you still have plenty to look forward to!
