Margot's Introduction
At least that’s how some women see it. They chastise me for my allegiance to the Bunny.
“How can you write for that magazine? Playboy exploits women.” You could hardly call the rates I’m paid exploitive. Playboy pays me more than any other medium.
“Playboy encourages men to be pigs by reinforcing stereotypes.” Um, isn’t THAT a stereotype? That men’s mags portray women as chattle? Frankly, Playboy’s downright reverential when it comes to the fairer sex.
The only beef I’ve got with Playboy – and it’s one I hear from the boys more than the girls – is the preponderance of fake tits.
Somewhere along the way, Hef stopped celebrating real women and started idolizing the personification of Barbie. As a staunch supporter of factory-installed original equipment, I DO have a problem with THAT.
Happily, the guys in the art department are catching on and there are more naturally occurring breasts in the magazine now than there has been in quite some time. See Miss November 2002, Sierria Tawan.
There’s also an assumption that, because I WRITE about sex all the time, I must be HAVING sex all the time. Women tend to think I’m a nymphomaniac, a slut or a threat. Guys tend to think I’m easy, intimidating or a challenge.
To all of them, I say, two things:
1. There’s more to me than the sum of my sexuality.
2. It’s just sex. It’s recess for grown-ups.
I celebrate sex for Playboy. Here at Sex-Kitten.net, I plan to celebrate that and more. Sexuality. Relationships. Encounters. Rants. Commentaries. Reviews. My views on whatever’s happening in my life, my bedroom, my car or whereever.
