Do You Remember? Intriguing tidbits at a time... ADeadHeart reviews the titillating 'Ladies Own Erotica' - by the Kensington Ladies' Erotica Society. There are experiences that have no age, even when the people in them are children and one of them is you. The Awakening: A three piece offering from the women who bring you smut for the modern woman.
We begin with Summer Rain – a story of innocent, barely teenaged tenderness…it scared me at first, imagining my daughter in a mere 5 years.
And then I remembered…
Reading Harlequin Romances - the gothic, historical kind. Dreaming of lovers and cleavage and late night rendezvous.
No piercing of the fragile veil of womanhood here…just a sweet and gentle reminder, no innocence lost, only innocence shared.
Expecting semi-porn I was very surprised but still intrigued. So I continued…
I am forced to admit that while ‘Retreat’ may be quite erotic, I did not like it at all. And perhaps it can simply be blamed on the times…no one really talks about the sexual relations between nuns in training and their teachers, but with all the hubbub about Catholic Priests…well. *shrug*
As I skimmed thru this tale of cloistered licentiousness, I began to feel nauseous…which I don’t think was the…desired…effect. It read very much like Song of Solomon (yes, from the Bible), with all of the forbidden lust, the fits of Latin…if I interpreted this correctly, we go from snail-track smears of unknown passion, and the rich marine smell of monthly blood to consummation, synonymous with the confession; the simple sins of a young girl.
I had to read this one twice, maybe three times. Just to see if I was missing something. I don’t think I was.
Even the smallest collaboration of early brushes with eroticism must include a ‘Bedtime Story’. This one comparative to that well known tale, ‘Arabian Nights’ - a misplaced girl-child forced to preoccupy herself, while waiting for the return of her mother, with the sinful stories of a book, removed from her care and yet containing well memorized pages.
What better way to preoccupy the mind and put well deserved tears on hold, then to act out the seductive stories held within the bindings of this book – so well known for it’s lustful nature – assisted by nubile young ladies of the house who giggle while you take your role as master very seriously.
An interesting first look at how are sexuality can be touched…even in youth.
‘Awakening’ ends with a recipe…for Sauerkraut. Yes. Seriously.
…if raw sauerkraut is too kinky for the common tongue… I never liked Sauerkraut. And while I might not throw a lover out of bed for munching on Ritz…you can rest assured that if carnal knowledge of ADeadHeart led to a craving for this bitter cabbage…I might be forced to show him the door…
See you next time for ‘Body Language’.
