I have set down at my keyboard, for what seems like an eternity, putting my stories in the rooms, trying to remember all the juicy details. It's funny, since I started talking about this book, there has never been any doubt in my mind of how I wanted it to be. Not the same old "I grew up a poor child" lines. None of that for me! I am in hopes that you will enjoy reading the book & being transported with me, as I remember all the great times that each story brings.

It has been a wonderful opportunity, being able to get these stories written because this fabulous thing called AGE is making it harder to remember. I want to pay tribute & homage to those ladies who seldom received the mention or acclaim for their contribution and dedication -- to at least make sure their names are remembered once again as the Stars that they were. Women like Kitty Lynne, Denise Montego, Amber Mist, Venus the Goddess of Love, Kiva, and Marinka, the list is a long one... It is my hope to have as many pictures of all of them as possible.

I will have to say that if it weren't for Terry Earp I would have never dreamed that there was a whole world out there that was interested in the Art of Burlesque! People who wanted to hear about the "Good ol' Days" & learn what the Legends could teach them. It wasn't until my journey to that Burlesque Mecca, Exotic World, that I ever imagined that there were people who wanted to see this old broad dance like she had 30 years ago. People who appreciated her art, as well as her struggle. An eager new breed of women who wanted to share those memories that, only a very special few can really understand. It has truly been inspirational for me to have had the chance to befriend, mentor, encourage & reminisce with the Ladies of Burlesque.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Gracie for her inspiration & gracious offer to get my book into print. And to Ephemera Bound for letting me say it in my way.
