Karsh reviews Razorblade Romance, by H.I.M.
If you've ever seen MTV's Viva la Bam, then you’ve heard of H.I.M., one of Bam Margera's favorite bands. The Finnish rock quintet's sophomore release, Razorblade Romance, should not disappoint fans of the retro-rock genre. "Join me in Death" begins rather sweetly with a piano tune, and then thrusts you into a slow rock melody reminiscent of the 90's Seattle teenage angst scene. "Heaven Tonight" showcases lead singer Ville's uncanny pitch-perfect imitation of Chris Isaak. "Razorblade Kiss", the darkest of the three songs, is very heavy on the electric guitars and reeks of the destructive love that the lyrics imply. ("you on my skin this must be the end / the only way you can love me is to hurt me again"). Overall, Razorblade Romance is a great addition to any rock lover's library. Review by Karsh.
