The pages of this book fairly drip with Carroll's sassy charm and sharp wit. The relative merits of her Man Catching Method (capitalization and lack of hyphen a conscious choice on the part of the author) are irrelevant, and her advice is often contradictory anyway. The romantic (man-catching) value in reading this book comes from the giddy, saucy state of mind you achieve as you read it. Her verve is contagious. Mr. Right, Right Now! will put you in the mood to flirt and flirt well. Flirt long and flirt large, and no man will be safe in your general vicinity. You'll be a veritable man-murdering machine!
Carroll's filled the book with loads of practical (as outrageous as they are, you actually might dare!) yet creative and original ideas for improving your personal attractiveness, meeting scads of men and then what to say to them once you've leveled your gaze upon them. The fun is interrupted at times with references to research and statistics in support of the author's ideas, but the data-annoyance level is not unbearable.
Among the memorable characters you'll meet within these pages are yourself (yes, you, charming reader), a delightfully unattractive personification of Fear and the Goddess of Desire herself, Aphrodite. Keep this one on your shelf as a pick-me-up for those dreadfully hormonal days when you're mopping the floor with your self-esteem and feeling the sting of rejection delivered by some man unworthy of your pheromones.
