Sympathetic Hormones The one thing that I have found to be extremely interesting is the female body's way of synchronizing itself with other familiar female bodies. Hormones seem to be the driving force in so many arguments. When most women go through menopause it can be certain that someone is going to feel the wrath of it. I, myself, have never been the type to release my menopause meanness on anyone; TRUE LIE. But I usually become extremely emotional and sensitive during my special time of the month.
The one thing that I have found to be extremely interesting is the female body’s way of synchronizing itself with other familiar female bodies.
I live in a house with my girlfriend, her eight year old daughter, her seven year old nephew, and our two female dogs. Since we have been sharing a common living space all the menstrual cycles of me, my girlfriend, and the two female dogs have been in sync. We all experience the same exact time of the month. How fascinating.
While my girlfriend and I find our own individual way of coping, the two female dogs go at it constantly; attacking, and snapping at each other. We find it so funny that the animals we love so much are so much like us.
As for my girlfriend and I, we have found more primitive ways to handle our outburst. My hormones make me more aggressive and her hormones make her more sensitive when generally we are individually the opposite. So we try to feed off of one anothers energy to keep some balance.
The menstrual cycle is supposed to be the body’s way of cleansing but I see it as an emotional cleansing as well. My girlfriend and I take the opportunity to dwell on some things that we generally don’t discuss. We also do a little soul searching in an attempt to better learn each other.
Its crazy, but I find a new reason to love my girlfriend when she menstruates.
I also find a new reason to send my dogs outside for some alone time when they menstruate.
