…where my kids don’t have to hide their sexual preferences to keep from getting the crap beat out of them

…where my son can get the job he wants without discrimination by small-minded people that caused him to have to travel 75 miles to work and end up in a ditch upside-down because he was so tired from the commute

… where my other son can have the son he loves so dearly but because he is struggling with financial matters the drugging mother gets him because she has the money

…where my daughters can legally seal the union that has lasted longer than my marriage

…where I can write what I want without having to use a pseudonym

…where children are protected and adults are free to do what they want as long as they don’t hurt others

…where children are respected and loved by their parents for who they are and not what dreams they live out for their parents

…where artists are supported by the government rather than hounded for the exercise of freedom of speech

…where our bodies don’t betray us just when our minds make peace with our hearts and souls

…where we care more about what we can give to others than what we can get from them

Am I quixotic? Probably. Am I old enough to know better? Definitely. But I challenge you to add to the list of what would make a perfect world…
