Joanna's Angels 2: Alt.Throttle

It's such a relief that the folks at Burning Angel don't take their porn too seriously, as laughing is such a great segue into fucking. In Joanna's Angels 2: Alt.Throttle, Joanna and her Angels (Kylee Kross, Sabrina Sparx, and new hire Tommy Pistol) are hired by The President (Mr. Marcus) to find his daughter (Dana DeArmond), who has been kidnapped. A girly ransom note is left behind, complete with doodling hearts and stars, declaring that the President's daughter won't be returned until all "Alt culture" is wiped out. Joanna immediately detects it as someone "with blond hair and bad taste in music" and proceeds to (literally) choke down the cocks of the President and Secret Agent James Deen.

Next, honorary male Angel Tommy Pistol is sent on a mission to "the records office", but instead he ends up at a record store, where snotty salesclerk (Pixie Pearl) gives him some attitude. Regardless, the two end up going at it and Pixie's red lipstick is soon smeared all over her face and body. Ever the gentleman, Tommy apologizes for ruining her makeup, but commits the cardinal sin of leaving during cuddletime, causing Pixie to call in her troop of thugs to chase him down.

Meanwhile, Tommy eventually tracks down the President's daughter after she adds him as one of her friends on "MyPlace" and finds her tied up to a St. Andrew's Cross and blindfolded in an undisclosed location. However, he's still not off the hook from his quickie with Pixie and finds himself being chased through the streets by three guys on crotch rockets. This scene alone is reason enough to watch the film, as Pistol performs all of his own stunts in one of the most exciting chase scenes ever in porn history!

Eventually, Joanna tracks down the blond kidnapper (Charlotte Stokely), who was scorned over not being called in for an interview to become an Angel after submitting an application. Joanna tells her, "you can either fuck me or kick my ass to get revenge", and I'm sure you can guess which one she chooses. The blonde and the brunette happily make up (and out) and everyone is satisfied. The President and his daughter are reunited and Joanna is given the honorary title of Vice President. Awww, I love happy endings.

As much as I love the performers and humor in the film, I was a bit turned off by hardcore choking in the blowjob scenes. Why most so many porn films present the image that women like to have a cock rammed so far down their throats that they can't breathe? It's not sexy to me or any of my male friends, and I hate the thought that it may give men the idea that women actually enjoy this. The sex scenes are otherwise fun, run a bit long, but hey, that's what the fast-forward button is for. Tommy Pistol is really the true gem of the film, with his Jim Carrey-like sense of humor and actual-porn-star-I-would-want-to-fuck looks, this is the guy that makes BA films so appealing to women. In one scene, a girl holds up a Burning Angel film in front of her ashamed boyfriend and demands to know "why can't you fuck me in the ass like Tommy Pistol?" Hell yeah!

Belive it or not, this movie does have a message. As Joanna explains at the end,"it's what's on the inside that counts" and not how many tattoos you have, or what color your hair is. The "Alt" people and the normal people can learn to get along after all. Oh, if only life was like a Burning Angel film.
