tess- that's just freaky! seriously! i couldn't believe my eyes as i was reading. i've had a similar experience with the piece...
when i was younger and madly in love, i thought it was beautiful and hot... then as time went on i noticed that the woman looked like she was pulling away-- the scene took almost a vampiric turn to me. weird.
did you know that it was first painted with them naked? i'm pretty sure anyway... heard that somewhere.

No, I didn't know that. Klimt has done some nudes, but he usually prefers to clothe his subjects in rich, colorful robes.

So Gustav Klimt eh! I thought women only bought paintings if they matched the interior décor, yours and Betti’s must be pretty
wild going by this!
OK girls only joking, you know me by now I hope. Seriously I liked this article if maybe not the painting, maybe it appeals more to women than men?
I can see what you both say and as art is in the eye of the beholder it’s good that you just enjoy for whatever reason.
Tess I loved your final observation that the woman is you and you have all the power (No bloody change there then lol!), no doubt in the hand we cant see she is holding her editors stick;-)
Now I see your artistic side and I have learnt something more about the enigmatic Tess Roberts that I didn’t know before. Now I must run on before I fragment myself.
I have to say that the art work adjacent to Klimt on your page I found far more pleasing and from what I now know about Betti she will enjoy it too!
