Kat, I understand your frustration all too well.  As a matter of fact, all TWO well.  Besides my own situatiojn, my wife was informed just yesterday that her condition is permanent, that there is not even a surgical option.  She was told she should start considering a wheelchair.  What took them so long?  It's been well over a year since her accident.  Meanwhile, the doctors kept sending her for countless tests, X-rays, MRIs & every other thing they could charge money for only to tell her what must have been apparent to them months ago.                                         

We go through the same bullshit as you do times 2.  Lemonade?  HAH!!! I'm with you, Kat, only I had to give up drinking over 19 years ago.  But that's another story for another day...                                                        Don't you hate it when you can't slam a cordless phone down on the kind of unfeeling bastards we both deal with?  A puny BEEP when you hang up doesn't have the same impact.       

Sory to hear that you and your wife have to go thru all this crap...pisses me off that while AMERICANS are fighting rights and changes in healthcare, others, like illegal immigrants are sucking it dry leaving us to literally beg for coverage.... I wont get into a rant about that....too much to type!  LOL! 

Well, things are in the process of being handled.  I talked to the pre-admissions supervisor and have already put in my appeal, plus my new surgeon is going to do the same tomorrow. According to the supervisor, she'll do all she can to help us get this approved. Should know something ina few days.

the furance guys came...I have heat now.. thank god is was nothing major...just the pilot sensor....'bout $100 bucks.. I can handle that.

the roof...that should be taken care of in the next couple months... we're picking out shingles.. what joy!

Man, that sucks -- I hope the doc can make the proper head way.  (If not, my pencil is at your disposal lol)

For once I got nothing smart to say and my heart goes out to Kat and Jake, Now I know why I felt like shit day all day yesterday.

things are cookin' at the doc's office.... and y'all can bet your sweet bippies that I'll be pushing for better health reforms. Yesterday in the local newspaper there was an article which said that the American Cancer Society recommends breast MRI for high risk patients on a yearly basis. I sooooooo agree with this. Like I said b4, this test can pick up cancers that a mammogram can't. And in all honesty, I think EVERYONE should have access to care that could save their life...and insurance compaines wold NOT have the power to deny anything. After all, you do PAY dearly for the coverage!

More news....things are cookin' at the insurance company... I told my surgeon that I'm gonna keep buggin' them till they get sick of me and give in.... She and her entourage are doing the same.  How dare they fuck with MY life.. I WILL WIN!
