Searching For 80's Fashion & Nostalgia In Porn

Reviewing Girdle Love III I began to wonder if I could build an entire blog or website around images of the 80's shaker sweaters in porn.

This is so amazing that I don't know where to begin!

I agree that part of amateur porn's appeal must be the personal connection (because, for the most part, it sure isn't artistic or beautiful).  I've often thought that part of my response anyhow to porn & erotica often has to to with "me" and "seeing myself there".  Quite often, in historical or very artistic erotic works it's more of a fantasy or wishing it (and I) were so; but like you've written, it often has to do with things I've worn or settings somehow familiar...

I mean we've all done doggy (I hope! lol), but it's not the position alone that makes one feel familiarity or nostalgia.  I know I've rejected porn simply because the outfit is so stupid or, being worn by a stick figure, that I could never wear it and -- with no other exceptional arousal factor -- simply said, "no thanks."  And sex in a car, I never find that erotic simply because when I've done it, it's been less than satisfactory.  (Bent over the hood of a car, on the other hand, is HOT. lol)

I need to think on this some more, honestly.  It brings up so many thoughts for me. I should compose them better first. Wink

Man, you must have been a skank back in the 80's! My sister was one of those. She used to wear her Forenza sweaters with the V in the back, too.

Gawd, 80's fashion. What the hell were we thinking?

Libby, if I didn't know you better ~ and love you ~ I'd be really offended by that... It sounds like you, like that gross DJ, think a bareback is an invitation to sex ~ and you should know better than that.  And I did, in fact state that I slapped said gross DJ.  Plus, I was then a virgin; certainly no "skank".  And no means no.  So I'm hoping that was all a joke.

As for 80's fashion, check out the mags; it's on it's way back. Big time.  (Hey, the 80's is also the decade of "big time" lol)

SPS, I look forward to more of your thoughts; well composed or not. Tongue out
